Ella Fairy Charm Necklace

These necklaces start with a 1 1/5" wooden disc. A small detail print of one of my original paintings is secured onto the primed disc, enhanced with Derwent Inktense colored pencils and finished with Golden polymer varnish for colorfastness and moisture resistance. The backs of the discs are painted using acrylic pigments and then they are added to cord, chains, or my handmade necklaces. Each one is different, and each one has it's own story. This one is called "Ella" and features an image of my daughter as a butterfly princess. She is adorned with a rhinestone heart and key charm, and a bottle of fairy dust (glitter). She dangles from a silver (not sterling) chain. A toggle clasp finishes the piece. I have included the original painting from where the print was taken.
